Anything that you can do, there’s always someone who can do it better. But what if your competition wasn’t another person, but a machine instead? A bot capable of doing what you do much faster, cheaper and better? Without getting tired, asking for a vacation or even a fixed monthly salary. A second industrial revolution is on the horizon. Free of human effort and manual labour. The only thing holding it back is the initial cost of investment.
Horses served as the best mode of transport for hundreds of years. And yet they are no longer used anymore. This is not because horses are lazy, but because their housing and care takes more effort than the bare minimum maintenance for a car. Not to mention the far superior performance.

Just as Henry Ford initiated a breakthrough in the transportation industry by changing the game completely rendering all other forms of transportation impractical when he introduced cars which could be assembled at minimum cost and time invested. Similarly technology is catching up with a few professions which can completely be replaced by technology in the next decade.
Below is a list of jobs which are soon going to stop existing:
1. Bank clerks: With the growing number of people getting comfortable with using apps and websites due to the ease and time saved, foot traffic is shrinking in banks. Some banks who have recognized this are already sending their employees to undergo training for specialized functions so they still have something to do.
2. General Doctors/Pharmacists: Majority of the diagnosis done by Humans is based upon guesswork and prior experience which only gets better with time. While bots are able to learn about and test a thousand drugs at the same time. They are also more capable of being able to stay up to date and make useful correlations. Understanding and remembering about every drug and disease is beyond the scope of any human, but easily achievable for a bot.
3. Travel Agents: With a plethora of travel websites available to pick the best deals on flights, hotels and travel packages, travel agents are fast losing relevance. In fact, the only people who continue to remain their customers are those who are unfamiliar with using the internet themselves.
4. Coffee makers & fast food counter employees: The manual jobs such cooking, reheating, grinding etc. are all being done by mechanized robots which are faster, cheaper and more efficient compared to human employees.
5. Delivery boys: In America, Amazon already uses drones to transport deliveries. In India drones are still relatively new. Hence, there has been a boom in the hiring of delivery boys. But in the future they will soon be replaced by drones.
6. Transport: Chauffeurs, locomotor operators and pilots face the biggest threat of losing out on their jobs soon. This can be accredited to self-driving cars, especially being headed by Google, and auto pilot systems in planes. On an average, pilots are only required to manually control the aircraft for 8 minutes of the entire flight time now.
7. Newspaper delivery boys: With the exodus of media from print to digital is inevitable and is only seeing a rise year on year. Soon, there would be only a small percentage of readers left to deliver newspapers to.
8. Reporters, analysts & journalists: Bots writing analysts, reports and stories will become the norm since they are capable of writing millions of articles in a day, customizing for individual users which is impossible to ask for from a human employee.
9. IT Techies and Coders: Self-learning bots who are programmed to learn as they execute will get smarter as they function and will become better than the original coders who coded them eventually leaving them redundant.
10. Lawyers: Contrary to popular perception, the major task of working in law profession consists of drafting paperwork and discovery (which means finding that one lead or wrong entry that would help with the case) by pouring over a pile of documents. Software to do is much faster and can accomplish such tasks in mere hours which would normally require weeks, for minimum cost and effort.
